Holy shit…what a crazy day full of news!

Honestly, Nintendo stole the show today.  Nintendo 3DS?  Yes, please!  Honestly, the DS is one of the best handhelds of all time.   The 3DS will clearly be a success.  I’m really not sure how Nintendo can screw this up…outside of pricing it way too high.  From a game perspective, seems like tons of developers are on board to make games.

A new Donkey Kong Country that doesn’t look like that crap Donkey Kong Country 64? I’ll take two!

I’m still not sure on the GoldenEye 007 remake or whatever it is for Nintendo Wii.  GoldenEye for N64 holds a special place in my heart…and I’m not so sure you can just remake something like that.  But, I’m definitely keeping my eyes on it.

I wasn’t too keen on the demo of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.  I really hope it plays better than the demo went with the controls seeming very unresponsive.  They blamed it on a wireless interference issue...but we’ll see.  Overall, the graphics looked great.  Hopefully they have some other good game play ideas up their sleeves.

Now, what I saw of the PlayStation Move today was very impressive.  It looked extremely responsive with hardly any lag.  I think Sony has it right with their controller…Xbox 360 Kinect just seems so plain now with no controls; just moving around and speaking.  Again, we’ll see what software developers can do with each piece of hardware.  I will say this; PlayStation Move does seem to be rather expensive if you want to outfit your PS3 with multiple controllers.

My wife is all crazy over all the Professor Layton news about the new game coming out in September and then the other new Professor Layton game in development for Nintendo 3DS.

That’s all I have for tonight…been one hell of a day and I’m sure tomorrow isn’t going to be any easier.
