NBA Jam Western Conference roster announced

So last week, we got to take in the Eastern Conference roster that would be coming with the new versions of NBA Jam.  This week, ESPN has announced the Western Conference roster for NBA Jam.  If you are a Lakers fan, here is what you can expect from your roster:

Los Angeles Lakers 

Players: Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Ron Artest and Lamar Odom

Legends: Magic Johnson and James Worthy

Kobe and Magic on the same team? Four current players instead of three so Artest and Odom both make the squad? Artest playing in a virtual world where it's not just permissible but encouraged to knock opponents over … with no fear of David Stern reprisal? I suppose Lakerland dwellars could bemoan the absence of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's skyhook and goggles, but I know what most of you are thinking: The rich get richer. Again.

I really can't wait to get my hands on this game, but not the Wii version of the game.  I'm only getting a copy of NBA Jam if it includes multiplayer online.  NBA Jam comes out for Nintendo Wii on October 5th.  If you want to play the HD version of NBA Jam which includes online multiplayer (but not singleplayer) on your PS3 or Xbox 360, you need to get NBA Elite 11 on October 5th.
