UBISOFT held it's press conference this afternoon at E3 to showcase some of their new and forthcoming products. For one, the highly anticipated third installment in the Farcry series, Far Cry 3 was demoed showing off some of the graphic environments that are being developed as well as both player characters an enemy characters. Far Cry 3 is expected out in 2012 with no announcement further on what platforms this may be available on.
Just Dance 3 is the third installment of the dance game Just Dance, and was announced for release on Oct 11 for the Wii, Kinect on Xbox 360 and for Move on PS3. This is a best seller for UBISOFT and should prove to be anther dance-till-you-drop hit in the franchise's lineup.
If you liked Raving Rabbids, UBISOFT is resurrecting the game in Raving Rabbids : Alive and Kicking for Kinect on Xbox360, releasing it for the all-motion control system. A brief demonstration showed off a couple of examples of the use of motion control and augmented reality in the mini-games contained withing, including the stomping of the bunnies heads, and the more challenging task of taking a group of players and shaping their bodies to fill in a shape... what you might call a game of twister on steroids. You can even share a photo of you and your friends on Facebook to guarantee mutual humiliation. Raving Rabbids : Alive and Kicking is due out on Nov 8th.
A trailer for the next installment of Brothers in Arms was shown at the UBISOFT press conference this afternoon showing off some of the graphic violence in action packed game titled Brothers in Arms : Furious 4. The trailer packs in the kills into this 1 min 22 second clip. Definitely worth a look, but not so much for the squeemish. We are working on getting a copy for the site, so check back for this.
We will be checking back with UBISOFT for more info from the E3 floor through the coming days.
