Since a lot of readers are looking for more information while they toil away at work...waiting to go home and play some StarCraft 2, here is another StarCraft 2 mission review.

The second mission begins with Jim Raynor going back to Joey Rays and getting slammed again.  His old friend and ex-convict Tychus Findlay walks in and strikes up a business deal with Raynor.  The player is then brought to a point and click style menu screen, where they can click on the TV, photos on a bulletin board, the juke box and Findlay for additional information.  This felt a little silly and a bit too reminiscent of I-Spy for my liking. Despite this, Raynor makes a really funny comment to Findlay of how being a revolutionary is now his new hobby.

After leaving Joey Rays and beginning the mission, the player builds an expeditionary force of marines, medics and SVC’s to destroy the Dominion artifact mining operation for extra cash to fund Raynor’s revolution.  This mission introduces base building to the campaign, and this is the only real significance of it.  You are given the option of liberating a Mar Sara colonist rebels base, which gives you some minerals and gas and an additional barracks. The mission can be completed in about ten minutes if you’re quick, and ends with the destruction of the Dominion Barracks, Factory where they build flamethrower cars, and their base.

For someone who has never played StarCraft before, this mission is a great introduction to the mechanics of the real game. Otherwise, it just felt a bit bland.
