Adding to the assortment of interactive social entertainment games that Facebook has to offer, Six Flags Entertainment, the world's largest regional amusement park operator, announced the launch of Facebook game, Mascot Park.
Designed for gamers of all ages, Mascot Park takes you into a world of a virtual amusement park, where you take on the role of a park mascot, with the goal of basically becoming the most legendary of all amusement park mascots, providing ample opportunity for social interaction with the many members of the Facebook community.
Buy costumes and put on performances, earning money and fans, giving the ability to purchase new costumes, and let the cycle of the mascot's life continue. Mascot Park gives you the option to invite your friends to the party and put on a show together. Ker-splat your friend's mascot with a box of TNT or give them the old pie-in-the-face for added amusement.
This game looks to be more socially interactive than other current Facebook games, and according to Making Fun CEO John Welch, "We designed this game to be inherently more social than other Facebook games because you actually interact with your friends’ shows and mascots. If you’re so inclined, throw an axe at your friend’s mascot while they are putting on a show or dazzle them with pyrotechnics. Players can decide the level of interaction."
Mascot Park looks like it will be an entertaining addition to the Facebook family. And while I've not taken to the Facebook gaming genre, and frankly have grown tired of most of my "News Feed' notifications about someone achieving the umpteenth level in Mafia Wars, or so and so sending me random crap I'm not at all interested in Farmville, throwing an axe at my best friends virtual mascot head might make me smile!
You can sign up for Mascot Park by visiting facebook.com/mascotpark.

World-Gaming Network is a gaming website for gamers by gamers. With a no nonsense approach to news, reviews and previews, from people who will tell you like it is, as your friend. There are many sites that will give you news/reviews/previews but none that will give them to you like one of your friends. Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
