EA Play Label, a studio of Electronic Arts announced today a new Facebook game spin-off of the popular The Sims franchise, he Sims Social, a groundbreaking Facebook game bringing the world's most popular (and only?) life/people/relationship simulation game, soon to come to the Facebook community.
In The Sims Social, Facebook users will create their own avatars to play in the Sims world, and interact with the millions of Facebook users they might encounter daily. Additionally, there will be a companion mobile app that will let you take you Sims with you to interact with your virtual Sims community while on the go.
“Just like you and me, The Sims is now on Facebook,” said Jeff Karp, Executive Vice President of Play Label. “EA invented people simulation games with The Sims. Over the last decade, The Sims has sold in excess of 140 million units and spawned an active fan community that has grown into the millions. These fans are all enthusiastic, passionate individuals living out their dreams, adventures and fantasies, and expressing their creativity. As The Sims moves to Facebook, their personalities shine through more than ever. The game is alive, brimming with the humor, romance, mischief and creativity that only The Sims can provide.”
Many of the interactions that are possible in The Sims series of games are possible in The Sims Social. Have a career, make friends and build relationships, play pranks and play jokes.. You can then kiss and make up, and everyone's favorite... Make "Woohoo". Just like real life (only safer.)
