Ankama is bringing forth two new classes of characters to the ranks of classes in DOFUS, Dofus-Arena and the upcoming Wakfu. The new classes are the Rogues and the Masqueraiders, and will have their own representatives Remington Smisse and Maskemane, respectively.

A little about each: Remington Smisse, the Rogue, is a bandit type character, who relies on his agility and charm and is a master of theft. Maskemane, the Masqueraider, can switch between three different masks, allowing him to benefit from certain powers and attributes tied to each.

DOFUS, a MMORPG brought by the French gaming company, Ankama, is the number one MMORPG in France, with over 25 million registered players worldwide. It is a turn-based style combat RPG allowing players to play one of may different classes of characters, complete missions, and battle strong enemies with groups of friends.

Wakfu, now in development, is also an MMORPG with timed turn-based combat, and in a followup to DOFUS in the sense it takes place within the same universe, only it occurs 1000 years after the age of DOFUS. I had the opportunity to test out this game at last weeks New York ComicCon and I am anxious to play the beta, as this looked like a really great game with some unique concepts. Check out my comments in last weekend's roundup of games I played and saw at the Square Enix booth at NYCC 2010.

About Us

World-Gaming Network is a gaming website for gamers by gamers. With a no nonsense approach to news, reviews and previews, from people who will tell you like it is, as your friend. There are many sites that will give you news/reviews/previews but none that will give them to you like one of your friends. Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
