Ever want to be a Head of State? Me neither, sounds like too much work, especially if 20% of the country thinks your Muslim and in league with terrorists. Or think that you advocate building a Muslim cultural center by day/Terrorist base by night near Ground Zero. But in this new game, Rulers of Nations, you don't have to deal with any of that. All you have to do is beat your opponent Head of States into the ground, Monopoly style. Sounds like fun to me. Check out the trailer and read the press release below for more information.
WEST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT – SEPTEMBER 7, 2010 – Eversim LLC, creator of the upcoming PC geo-political simulation Rulers of Nations, today released the game’s first trailer. Rulers of Nations puts players in President Obama’s shoes starting at the end of September when the game will arrive at retail stores nationwide in DVD-ROM format and online in digital format.
Players must solve the same complex issues that face President Obama including the global financial crisis, the US budget deficit, Afghanistan (the new Vietnam for NATO countries?), Iran (the next nuclear power?), and global warming. Rulers of Nations, created by using the new Version 2.0 of Eversim’s powerful and most realistic geo-political game engine, also includes new challenges such as creating energy sources from solar to deep-sea oil drilling, managing refugees after a catastrophe, colonizing countries, and buying black market weapons.
Rulers of Nations is played on a detailed 3D world map showing 8,000 cities in 192 countries in a visually stimulating user interface with multiple windows and on-screen video inserts. Each country has current data on 400 key factors (economics, energy, monetary, military, etc.) based on current data from 50 international organizations including the United Nations, G20, NATO, NAFTA, and OPEC.
Play solo or with friends (up to 16 online players) and decide if other human or simulated Heads of State are your friends or enemies. Eversim has cleverly created 3D clones of the heads of major political leaders to add more realism to an already realistic game. Not only can you play the President, but your avatar looks like him!
Have fun playing in the complicated and challenging scenarios of economic wars, armed conflicts, alliances, spying, treason, and terrorist attacks!
Rulers of Nations will be arriving in stores from the end of September 2010 and will be available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Russian. The DVD-ROM version will be distributed in North America by Enteractive Distribution Co.
More detailed information will be available on www.rulers-of-nations.com
