The launch trailer for the latest Dawn of War 2 expansion was just released at Gamescom. It mostly details the Orks and features plenty of gameplay. I used to be huge original Dawn of War player, and I played Orks in the Warhammer 40k tabletop game, but they were never really given the recognition they deserve in Dawn of War 2. But now they have finally been done justice....WAAAAAAAAAGH!

THQ just sent out a press release and screenshots for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 - Retribution.  Check it:

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) today announced that a second stand-alone expansion for its genre redefining real time strategy game, Warhammer® 40,000®: Dawn of War® II, is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011.

Taking place years after the events in Dawn of War II: Chaos RisingTM, this title allows players to choose their perspective with the first multiple-race single player campaign in the Dawn of War II series. The first race to be revealed is the savage Orks, but no matter which race is chosen players will be taken on an epic journey through each story arc, revealing the answers to many questions left open in previous Dawn of War titles.

As well as the single player campaign, RetributionTM will feature new multiplayer units, maps and an entire new playable faction when it ships.

Jeff Lydell, Producer of Dawn of War II - Retribution commented: "We all love the Blood Ravens here at Relic Entertainment, but there are also a lot of fans of the other races and armies out there so we decided that Retribution should allow the player the freedom to experience the campaign from the perspective they select."

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Retribution is scheduled to be released for Windows PC in the first quarter of 2011.

BFG LogoWow... HardwareCanucks has received word that BFG Technologies, you know them...they make video cards, has started sending out RMA Denials to customers who are attempting to get warranty work done citing supplier issues.  What this means is that no repairs are being done and customers are receiving their video cards returned unrepaired.

BFG Technologies announced that it was departing the video card business back in May but no doubt people still bought this cards after that.  Unfortunately those cards that have "lifetime warranties" suddenly have their lives cut short.

The letter from BFG Tech is short and you can see the full letter at HardwareCanucks, but it states...

BFG Technologies Inc. is in the process of winding down and liquidating its business.  Unfortunately, our major supplier would not support our business.  As a result, we are returning your graphics card without being able to repair it.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sorry guys, looks like the consumer is getting the shaft.
