Old news.. Yes, but still quite relevant.  Yesterday, at Apple's Rock and Roll event, the company made a decent size splash with news like iTunes 9 which brings a brand new iTunes music store interface, faster/better backing up and syncing, app organization for iPod touch and iPhone, Genius mixes, and Home Sharing.  Apple also announced new album format for the iTunes music store known as iTunes LP which gives users an interactive, DVD-style presentation of the content, including lyrics, photos, writing, videos as well as other variable content.

In terms of their music player line the iPod touch has gotten the speed boost that the iPhone received with the 3GS and the capacity has increased.  iPod touches are now available in 8GB ($199), 16GB ($299), and 32GB ($399).  The 8GB is the older model but with a decent price drop.  The Nano also got a refresh, the fifth-generation iPod nano now comes in nine different colors - silver, black, purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, red, and pink - and sells for $149 for an 8GB model or $179 for a 16GB model.  The new iPod nano now is capable of capturing h.264, 640 x 480 VGA video at rates of up to 30 frames per second with AAC audio, has a built-in FM radio with live pause and iTunes tagging and has a built-in Nike+ capable pedometer for you health nuts.  The device's screen has grown to 2.2 inches with 240 x 376 resolution.  The iPod classic got a small update boosting it's capacity to 160GB and maintaining the $249 price tag. Same colors as before...  And finally the iPod shuffle product line has grown to by adding new colors to the 4GB model and introduced a 2GB version and a special edition model.  Both 4GB or 2GB are now available in silver, black, pink, blue and green and are the same as before.  The 4GB iPod shuffle is still at $49 and the 2GB model is priced at $59.  The special edition model runs at $99.

Also to note there was no announcement of cameras in the touches, no Apple tablet, and no DVR support in Apple TV.  Sorry folks!

Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
