Japan is clearly in a time of need and lots of people are trying to find ways to help in all different ways. PopCap Games is going to discount all of their iPhone/iPad adaptations of their games including Bejeweled, Bookworm, Chuzzle and Plants vs Zombies for 48 hours starting Saturday March 19 at 12:01 a.m PDT and ending March 20th at midnight.

PopCap will then donate all their revenues from the sale  to the Red Cross to help in the Japan relief effort due to the horrific earthquake/tsunami on March 11th.

iPhone versions of PopGames will be $.99 during the sale and iPad versions will be $1.99.

“We recently opened an office in Tokyo, and while our Japan-based employees are safe and uninjured, we understand countless others in Japan need food, shelter, and medical attention,” said Ellen Marett, Senior Director of Workforce Culture at PopCap. “Given that Plants vs. Zombies reached #1 on the iPhone and iPad sales charts in Japan, it seemed like the most appropriate game to feature in this fundraising campaign.”

About Us

World-Gaming Network is a gaming website for gamers by gamers. With a no nonsense approach to news, reviews and previews, from people who will tell you like it is, as your friend. There are many sites that will give you news/reviews/previews but none that will give them to you like one of your friends. Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
