Our Pad Racer review for the Apple Ipad has been posted. Check it out.
First app I bought on the App store for my iPad was Scrabble. Been pretty much playing Scrabble every day since April 3rd. Overall great game and worth the money. Go read our review of Scrabble for iPad.
Okay, I know I bag on Apple crap all the time, but this is games related, so I figured I would post it. Not going to make a habit of it, but I was curious what games were the hot sellers now that the iPad is out. Here is the top 10 selling games:
1. The Sims 3 World Adventures ($6.99)2. Monopoly ($4.99)3. The Simpsons Arcade ($0.99)4. Call of Duty: World at War Zombies ($9.99)5. We Rule (Free)6. The Game of Life Classic ($1.99)7. Scrabble ($2.99)8. Bejeweled 2 ($2.99)9. Plants vs. Zombies ($2.99)10. Words With Friends ($2.99)
Not many people believed Apple's claims of 10+ hours on the iPad. Surprisingly enough all of the positive reviews about the iPad and the battery life. Most reviews are citing more than normal usage and getting 10-12 hours of run time on a single charge. Impressive to say the least. Gizmodo recently pushed the iPad to the limits and attempted to drain the iPad's battery as quickly as possible. Gizmodo suceeded and drained the battery in 5 hours and 54 minutes by running battery intensive applications at full brightness. Very impressive!!!!!
For those curious about the numbers, Apple sold 300,000 iPads on the first day. There were 1,000,000 app downloads and 250,000 ebook downloads from the iBook Store.
Honestly, I'm more curious about this as a gaming platform more than anything. I was somewhat shocked by how many decent games I saw in the marketplace. Not shocked enough to go buy one, though.
