Mobilized is reporting that Apple Inc is fully aware of the issues that some Verizon customers have been having connecting with their iPad 2s. In a statement to Mobilzed, Apple had this to say...

“We are aware that a small number of iPad 2 customers have experienced connectivity issues with the Verizon 3G network and we are investigating it."

The Wi-Fi and AT&T models have not reported any of the same issues that the Verizon model has been inflicted with. Good news is that as per a leak a few days ago, Apple has already begun working on iOS 4.3.2 which may correct a lot of the issues iPhone and iPad users have been having with iOS 4.3.1.

And so it begins. As we come closer to launch day, March 11th, of the iPad 2, many large media outlets have begun to post reviews of the iPad 2. Gizmodo did a great job in "rounding them up" into one location and I won't even attempt to compete.

For the most part it appears to me that reviews are quite positive. Some people are complaining about the lack of quality out of the cameras and some are still complaining of the lack of Flash support. Are we seriously still on this? Who cares?! One outlet that I shall not name... *cough* TechCrunch */cough* even went out to say that would be iPad buyers could be worried about a new iPad within 6-9 months, which to me doesn't make any sense since most, if not all, Apple products are on a yearly life cycle.

Either way, take a look at the reviews and make a decision on whether or not it's time to upgrade your old but still very much in working condition iPad, jump on the Apple bandwagon and buy an iPad for the first time or throw caution to the wind and buy a different tablet.

I rarely give Apple credit...and maybe things will change here, but I've gotta hand it to them, they really changed the tablet market with the iPad 2.  We've been seeing the Android Honeycomb devices like Xoom and cost up to $1000.  Pretty expensive.  But hey...it's dual core technology, etc.

Apple just comes out...announces the iPad 2.  Dual core processors (2x faster cpu, 9x faster graphics).  Thinner than the iPhone 4 and iPad 1.  Same battery life.  Has a gyroscope.  Has dual cameras (front and back).   But god..I bet it's going to be expensive, right?  Wrong!  Same price as iPad 1!

When does it come out?  March 11th in the US.

Again, I'm not an Apple fan, but this is going to change the market.  If Motorola thinks they can charge $1000 for their tablet with the iPad 2 coming out.  They are dead wrong.  I don't care if Android can do flash at this point.  This is a game changer.  However...at the same price point...I'd still probably pick a Xoom.

We've been hearing slight rumors that the iPad 2 could be announced as early as the March 2nd Apple Event.  Seems like more and more people are starting to feel the iPad 2 announcement will be coming next week.

To those who care intensely about this kind of stuff–which would be pretty much everyone in the tech ecosystem–Apple will hold its much-anticipated event on March 2, where the tech giant seems poised to unveil a new version of its hugely successful iPad, according to multiple sources.

As in, iPad 2! Or, as BoomTown is now officially nicknaming it: iPad Too!

Honestly, why wouldn't they announce it now?  The Xoom is out and everyone knows the deal with it.  We pretty much know what the tablet landscape looks like with Honeycomb devices.  Time for Apple to rock the boat.

Over the past few weeks, and more so this past weekend, there have been tons of rumors about the upcoming iPad 2. Guesses, rumors, and leaks. Call them what you want but they are hear to say and some have more validity then you think. So iPad 2 specifications. What do we think we know so far?

Overall design

Judging by the plethora of mockups we have seen since and before CES 2011 we know, at least we think, that the iPad 2 will be the same size but thinner. Based on these same mockups we can infer, based on the rear facing hole, that the iPad 2 will contain a rear facing camera which has been speculated since the first iPad. We also think we know that the iPad will contain some sort of well, either a larger speaker or a SD Card reader at the bottom. None of this has been confirmed..
