For its upcoming release of Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection, Square Enix revealed the two exclusive items which will be available in the box to gamers who purchase the title for PSP. Each RETAIL box copy will include :

  • A set of five highly collectible trading cards, beautifully illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano, featuring characters from FINAL FANTASY IV

Awesome stuff for the Final Fantasy fanatics out there. We've got some images of the exclusive items below. (Also, some images from "The After Years" portion of the game.)

Final Fantasy IV : The Complete Collection is a celebration of the 20th year of the original Final Fantasy IV. With over 4 million copies sold world-wide, this title is one of the cornerstones of the RPG. Personally, I can remember enjoying this game for hours on end and is one of the standards to which I have measured all RPG games that have followed (this, Zelda, and Dragon Warrior.)

Some of Final Fantasy IV : The Complete Collection features include:

  • The all-new FINAL FANTASY IV –Interlude- now binds the two epic narratives, FINAL FANTASY IV and FINAL FANTASY IV: THE AFTER YEARS, together
  • High-definition graphic updates for both FINAL FANTASY IV and FINAL FANTASY IV: THE AFTER YEARS
  • Choose to play in the original Japanese, updated English translation, or French
  • Listen to the original soundtrack or a rearranged version of the timeless compositions from Nobuo Uematsu
  • View an exclusive collection of concept and design art by famed artist Yoshitaka Amano
  • Watch brand-new CGI movie intros for both FINAL FANTASY IV and FINAL FANTASY IV: THE AFTER YEARS
  • Enjoy the complete FINAL FANTASY IV experience for the first time in North America

Final Fantasy IV : The Complete Collection will be out for the PSP on April 19, 2011 at a price of $29.00.

Just a quick heads up that the Final Fantasy Dissidia 012 cinematic trailer was released today by Square Enix.

The game is coming out for the PSP on March 22nd.

Square Enix is bringing over the third game in their Parasite Eve series, entitled The 3rd Birthday, from Japan that is set to release March 29 for the PSP. A collectors edition has been announced for the game, called the Twisted Edition. If you decide to shell out the extra cash you'll get a 48 page hardback book showing the art of the game, two Aya Brea Lithograph prints, and an Aya Brea costume for Lightning in the upcoming Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.

In addition, two of the main characters will be voiced by a fairly well known actor and actress. The main character, Aya Brea, will be voiced by Yvonne Strahovski from the series Chuck. Her mysterious love interest will be voiced by one of the guys from Supernatural, Jensen Ackles.

Square Enix recently released quite a pretty cinematic trailer for the somewhat awkwardly namedTactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. It looks somewhat similar to the cutscenes in Valkyria Chronicles, which is not a bad thing by any means. If this is what they're really going to look like on the PSP, color me impressed:

If you don't know much about the game, it's basically a tactical RPG, similar to Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem. You build a team who take turns fighting enemies on a map. They'll level up and you'll be able to equip them with different items as well as change their classes to add diversity to your team.

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is a remake of the original, that appeared on the Super Famicom, the Sega Saturn, and the first Playstation. It comes out February 15 for the PSP.
