IRVINE, CALIFORNIA -- JULY 12, 2010 -- Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today launched the official full trailer for the upcoming exploration RPG Etrian Odyssey™III: The Drowned City for Nintendo DS™. The trailer gives fans a look at what they can expect when they set sail to the city of Armoroad, including true hardcore dungeon gameplay, all-new classes, and a map that can make or break this stormy adventure depending on player strategy and map-making skills.
The embodiment of adventure and discovery in the purest sense, Etrian Odyssey III transports gamers to a sparkling oceanic paradise filled with atmospheric dungeons to chart and survey, vast watery expanses to sail across, and rumors of a sunken city to investigate. Aspiring explorers are responsible for charting their travels utilizing the intuitive touchscreen map editor, meaning that careless cartography could easily spell doom for a fatigued party trying to escape danger. Powerful challenges demand cunning and strategy: players will assemble and fully customize their party of adventurers from a variety of highly specialized classes and sub-classes. For the patient and prepared, fame and fortune await.
Fans who pre-order Etrian Odyssey III will receive a special bonus art book, "Forests Of Eternity," at participating retailers while supplies last. With 60 pages of premium, full-color art work, "Forests Of Eternity" is the ultimate Etrian Odyssey collectible, featuring designs and sketches spanning the entire Etrian Odyssey series. To see a sample of the pre-order bonus art book, visit http://issuu.com/atlususa/docs/etrian_artbook.
