Rumor: Nintendo 3DS Launch in October

Christmas may come early this year for some people. CVG is reporting that according to UK trade sources, the Nintendo 3DS may be launching as early as October of this year. Nintendo of course has not confirmed nor denied this but did state that this is mere speculation and rumor.

Nintendo has stated during it's press release that the Nintendo 3DS was to launch in March 2011. Rumor is that Nintendo will announce this new release date at E3 this June as a nice surprise. Perhaps this is due to the pressures the Japanese press had put on Nintendo last month.

If you haven't heard already the Nintendo 3DS is meant to replace their DS line and have the ability to play games in 3D without the use of any type of glasses. According to Nintendo the 3DS will play all older DS titles. The next Professor Layton title is also rumored to be the first title to be on the Nintendo DS.
