Eurogamer.net is running a story with all the game prices that are currently available on OnLive. I still haven't been accepted into OnLive either as a member or as media to review the service, but I'm a bit put off by these prices.
| Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - |
$49.99 |
| Just Cause 2 | - $49.99 |
| Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction - |
$59.99 |
$60 for Splinter Cell?! I hate to beat this drum...but you are paying retail prices for a game you don't even get to own. You'll always need to pay the monthly service fee to OnLive, otherwise, you lose access to the game until you re-subscribe. I know some people (less nowadays) complain that when you buy a digital copy of the game from Steam, you don't really own it either...but at least it's your game still. I'm not paying Steam a monthly fee to access it.
Wow, I was all ready to accept OnLive. The idea of not needing a high end computer at home to game on was very interesting. All of the processing was done at OnLive and streamed to your home PC. But now I'm not so sure of OnLive is really that great.
OnLive faces an uphill climb on this one.

World-Gaming Network is a gaming website for gamers by gamers. With a no nonsense approach to news, reviews and previews, from people who will tell you like it is, as your friend. There are many sites that will give you news/reviews/previews but none that will give them to you like one of your friends. Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
