New Super Mario Bros. for Nintendo Wii in the Works?

andriasang.com is reporting that Nintendo has confirmed a Super Mario collection title will be released on October 21st 2010 in Japan called...Super Mario Collection Special Pack. Supposedly this would be a revival of Super Mario All-Stars (US) but no mention of a US release was given.

This new "Collection" is rumored to include Super Mario history from 1985 all the way to 2010, and will include a booklet going over the past 25 years and showing previous unseen development materials, as well as a soundtrack CD encompassing all previous Mario titles.

No other information was given.  We can only hope that this could include updates to all previous Mario's with Wii graphics but that unfortunately is doubtful.  I still wouldn't mind having the entire history of Super Mario Bros in a collectors set.

Super Mario Collection Special Pack is set for October 21 release at ¥2,500.
