So I recently decided I needed a blu-ray player.  Instead of buying a standalone blu-ray player I figured it would be more cost effective to just buy a Playstation 3 as the blu-ray player is pretty hi-end and does support 3D.  WOOT!!! Everyone has told me to download the demo of "Heavy Rain" right away.  Eh whatever, so I did download it that night and the entire family hasn't stopped playing since we bought it yesterday.

"Heavy Rain" available only for the Playstation 3 is one outstanding game.  Heavy Rain is also like no game you've played before, more akin to playing a movie.  Quanticdream really took advantage of the Playstation 3 hardware and made it pop.  Character models, shadows, environments are awesome.   Soundtrack and scripting is also great.

The basic premise is that you play 4 different characters throughout the game and each action you take has an effect on the overall game.  24 endings, 6 per character, based on all your actions.  As for the storyline the search is on for the Origami Killer.  I don't want to give anything away so I will say each of the 4 characters plays an integral role in finding who the Origami Killer is.

I won't say go buy this game today!  I would say to download the demo first as this is a different type of game than you are used too.  In my opinion worth every cent.
