During the PlayStation Conference, Jack Tretton announced a very surprising bit of hardware that I am pretty sure no one could have guessed at. A PlayStation-branded 3D monitor and affordable 3D glasses.
This PlayStation-branded 3D monitor will also have the ability to display two separate images to allow two players to utilize one monitor as if it were two. Good bye split screen! Glasses are required for this to work though.
During the conference, Sony made every effort to show off 3D gaming and how the only place to do that is the PlayStation 3 and to further drive that point home Sony announced a bundle for $499 that will include the 24-inch PlayStation-branded 3D monitor, 6-foot HDMI cable, Active 3D glasse, and a copy of Resistance 3. Tretton also revealed that the Active 3D glasses will work with a variety of other 3D displays that use active 3D glasses. These glasses will be available separately for $69.99. Keep your eyes peeled this September for availability.

World-Gaming Network is a gaming website for gamers by gamers. With a no nonsense approach to news, reviews and previews, from people who will tell you like it is, as your friend. There are many sites that will give you news/reviews/previews but none that will give them to you like one of your friends. Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
