The Mass Effect 2 demo debuts for the PS3 today on the PlayStation Network for all UK users. It debuted yesterday for users in North America. This demo marks the first time that the highest-rated game for Xbox 360 and PC will be available on PS3.

In the demo, players will step into the role of the heroic icon of the Mass Effect franchise, Commander Shepard, giving them a chance to experience three of the game’s most memorable, action-packed missions that have helped make Mass Effect 2 G4TV’s Game of the Year, the Xbox 360 Game of the Year from the Spike Video Game Awards, IGN.com and Gamespy.com, and over 15 other Best of 2010 awards to date. This includes the game’s shocking and thrilling opening sequence, the investigation of a planet whose inhabitants have disappeared and a mission to help recruit one of the most memorable characters in the franchise, Mordin Solus, to your squad.

Mass Effect 2 ships on January 18, 2011 to retailers in North America and on January 21, 2011 to UK stores. You can also pre-order the game for PS3 for $59.95 to ensure you receive your copy!

About Us

World-Gaming Network is a gaming website for gamers by gamers. With a no nonsense approach to news, reviews and previews, from people who will tell you like it is, as your friend. There are many sites that will give you news/reviews/previews but none that will give them to you like one of your friends. Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
