At GamesCom today, Ubisoft announced a portion of the lineup of songs that will be included in Michael Jackson: The Experience. MJ: The Experience will utilize the motion controllers of three home consoles, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, and the Xbox 360 allowing players to feel the magic of the King of Pop by reliving his most iconic performances through singing and dancing.
The Xbox 360 version will have full body tracking using Kinect and will allow players to immerse themselves into that universe. Using Kinect, players will be able to trigger effects, visuals and even the music itself as you move around the digital environment. For those of you who are vocally challenged, the Xbox 360 version will also enhance your voice to make you sound better than you actually are. Also featured in the Xbox 360 version is the Michael Jackson School mode to let you rehearse and train your Michael Jackson moves.
The Nintendo Wii version won't be as robust. The Wii version supports 4 player gameplay where you can challenge players 1vs1 or 2vs2. You can also have backup dancers! Like the 360 version there will be a dance school but it will be limited to video training only. Unfortunately it appears that with the Nintendo Wii version, you will be able to sing-a-long with the on screen lyrics with no impact to the game. Lame
Some of Michael Jackson’s most famous songs that will be included in the game are:
Michael Jackson The Experience will be available for KINECT for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 system with the PlayStation Move motion controller, PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, Nintendo’s Wii system and the Nintendo DS handheld system, for holiday 2010.
