And the shit head award of the week goes to... JACK TRETTON, Sony PlayStation CEO! Check out some of these quotes from the Fortune article.
First off, Tretton goes on to say how the PlayStation 3 hardware is cutting edge which is very true and will be high end for years to come. But then goes on to trash the Wii which came out two years prior to the PlayStation 3 which also led the way for the PlayStation Move...
"They're starting to run out of steam now in terms of continuing to be relevant in 2011 and beyond," he says. "I mean, you've gotta be kidding me. Why would I buy a gaming system without a hard drive in it? How does this thing scale? Motion gaming is cute, but if I can only wave my arms six inches, how does this really feel like I'm doing true accurate motion gaming?"
Then Tretton decides to take on the handheld market and blast Nintendo a new one by calling the Nintendo handhelds babysitters and well you read the rest...
"Our view of the 'Game Boy experience' is that it's a great babysitting tool, something young kids do on airplanes, but no self-respecting twenty-something is going to be sitting on an airplane with one of those," he says. "He's too old for that."
Well anyway you read the article and form your own opinions. Even though I still love my PS3, I feel he's an asshat. Oh and by the way Jack Tretton, Sony is still 3rd behind the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
