After being delayed earlier this year, and having its pack in title, NBA Jam, given its own release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, NBA Elite 11 has finally had the final nail driven into its coffin and cancelled by EA. It's weird that you would see a game, which already had practically shipped to retailers and had a demo released, cancelled completely, but it appears that EA felt this was the best solution.
This news came during an investor call, when EA's COO John Schappert announced that "we have elected to cancel NBA Elite 11" and "Future development of that franchise will be handled at EA Tiburon in Orlando."
So there you have it. No more NBA Elite 11. NBA 2K11 is now the only NBA basketball game in town this year.
Boom goes the dynamite.

World-Gaming Network is a gaming website for gamers by gamers. With a no nonsense approach to news, reviews and previews, from people who will tell you like it is, as your friend. There are many sites that will give you news/reviews/previews but none that will give them to you like one of your friends. Founded over 9 years ago by two gamers that were born with a controller in their hand, we have come to realize that there are no gaming websites that take this approach. We give you the World-Gaming Network, your friend in the business.
